Block the sites U want!!

Many times in schools, colleges & offices surfing some sites like orkut, porn sites etc are banned ! Do U also wanna do the same... here is the way to block these type of sites.!

Do The Following :

  • Suppose you want to block www.abc.com .
  • Open the folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
  • In etc folder, you will find a file named hosts
  • Click to select the file .
  • Press SHIFT key and now right click on it .
  • From the right click menu select Open with .
  • Now, select Notepad to open the file from the list !
  • Now, Go to the line 127.0.0.1 localhost
  • Below this line add another line as 127.0.0.2 www.abc.com
  • Now, Go to File>>Save (press Ctrl+S)
  • Now, open your web browser and try to open the www.abc.com , You won't be able to open it.!

Use Notepad As A "Daily Diary".

Hi! folks.... Here is an interesting trick to use ur notepad as Diary. Many of us use to write daily diary. In the manual diary we generally use , we see there is already Date is written on every subsequent page and we write the time. Then we start writing what we want. But waht if U use Notepad ??!! See here is a trick for U... Enjoy.. :-)

Steps to be followed:-

  1. Open Notepad.
  2. Open New blank file (Press Ctrl+N).
  3. Write .LOG in the first line of the file, and Press Enter.
  4. Save the file with a name you want and close it.
  5. Now Double-click the file to open it and you will notice that Notepad file appends the current date and time to the end of the file and places the cursor on the line after.
  6. Type your notes.
  7. Then save and close the file.
  8. Each time you open the file, Notepad repeats the process, will append the time and date to the end of the file and place the cursor.
